9月から6年生になる娘。
来年3月に入試です。ギャポーです。
娘の学校は幼稚園から高校までの一貫教育をウリにしている私立ですが、
中学校からは違う私立に通わせたいのです。
勉強ばかりではなく、スポーツや他の文化活動に力を入れている、自由な校風の学校です。
あと8ヶ月。
8ヶ月もある～と娘は思っている、もしくは何も思っていないかもしれません。
とにもかくにも覇気は全くありません。
絶対にいい順位になろう！とか、偏差値アップしたい！という気持ちはサラサラないと感じます。
勉強に取り組む態度も真面目なのですけど、
ええ、不真面目では決してないのですが、とてつもなくマイペースです。
順位もいつもだいたい上の中、中の上、そのあたり。
ぶれずに同じです。
そういう性格で、そういう個性なのでしょうねえ。
私が小６の頃通っていた塾は、
「常在戦場」というハチマキを巻いて、
「夏休みとは、天下分け目の関ケ原である！」
と、先生が毎朝教壇で叫んで、子供たちも「エイエイオー！」なんてしてました。

受験戦争、なんていわれていた時代でしたね。
塾での勉強は楽しく、懐かしい気持ちです。
それなのに、私自身の中学校生活は、学校も休みがちで、いやな思い出だらけです。
今でも、やり直せるものなら小６に戻って、違う中学校に無理してでも、なんとしてでも通いなおしたかった、と思うくらいです。
学校選びは、本当に大切なことだと、今ならわかります。
おそいけど。。。
話がそれました。
中学校受験とはいえ、私の頃とは時代も違うし、いろいろ違うのでしょう。
楽しい中学生活を送ることができたら、それが一番。
