襤褸ってこんなテキスタイルです。
Ranru is such a textile.
※どこかに豆粒くらいの金魚色がほしいな〜。

いま、この価値が高くなっています。

人間が紡いだ糸。
人間が織った布。
人間が染めた色。
そして何より重要なのは、人間が生活した証拠。
Yarn which human twisted.
Cloth which human wove.
Color which human dyed.

それらがステンドグラスのようなグラデーションを生み出します。
１年や２年では出来上がらないテキスタイルです。
しかも古ければ良いというものではない代物の代表です。

その襤褸を使ってアイヌ刺繍の針山を３つ作りました。
浪漫屋からの依頼品です。
I made three pincushions of Ainu embroidery with Ranru.
These are request products from Roman-ya.
容器は陶器の上にカシュウを塗ったものです。

なんか…
私のアイヌ刺繍が襤褸の勢いを殺しているような気がします。
見習いとしては襤褸に刺繍できるだけで幸せです。

針山は海外では「手軽に購入できる工芸品」としての価値があるようです。
クロスステッチ、フランス刺繍、フェルトワーク、レースワーク、それぞれの分野の職人たちが意匠を凝らして独自の世界を表現する場です。
でも小さな作品ですから、ファンたちも比較的安いお値段で購入して楽しむことができます。

しかし残念ながら日本にはあまりそのような習慣は根付いていません。
それでも最近はこぎん刺しや刺し子などで可愛らしい針山を作っている人は増えてきました。

10年後、20年後、30年後、彼は自らの素質を時間で磨きあげ、私たちが想像もできないような美しさを身に纏っていることでしょう。
If he finish the life as a skater, he would continue to increase the value of him every day.
