さて、今日はセカンドステップシリーズです。
Okay, this is another article of Second Series today.
少しタイムラグがありますが、こちらは日本での体外受精に向けての準備の様子を書いています。
There's some time lag between what I'm writing here and the current time.
前回のセカンドステップ記事で、同じ建物にある2つの部屋を借りるという代替案をもって、ようやく日本で滞在する場所を確保できた事を書きました。
On the last Second Step article, I talked that we finally could book 2 rooms in a same building instead of renting a one big room.
ですが、この譲歩案と治療にかかる具体的な費用が判明した事もあり、当初見積もっていたこのプロジェクトの費用全てをもう一度見直す必要が出てきました。
Though, due to the shift to the Plan B and the specific numbers for the treatment from the clinic, we had to recalculate all the cost from scratch.
以前にも書きましたが、アメリカで体外受精する場合。。。
I mentioned this before, but the IVF cost at our clinic in MN is...
体外受精1回基本料金（返金保証なし）
・・・$7,700（約80万円）
Base Cost of IVF with own eggs (Non-refundable) ... $7,700
体外受精3回（妊娠しなかった場合の返金保証あり）
・・・$29,000（約300万円）
Up to 3 IVF with own eggs (Refundable)... $29,000
比べて、日本で体外受精する場合。。。
And the IVF cost in Japan is...
採卵1回、移植3回
・・・約80万円
1 Egg Collecting + 3 transplants = About $8,000
アパートの費用（83日間）
The cost of renting 2 apartment rooms (83days)
・・・約77万円
About $8,000
（第一希望の一軒家であれば、約50万円で済んだのです。）
(If we could have rented the house, the cost were about $5,000.)
飛行機の費用
・・・約32万円
The flihgt tickets are $3,300
その他（食費など）
・・・約65万円～80万円
Miscellaneous expense would be $6,500-$8,000
と、お分かりのように、金額面で言えば、アメリカで治療するのも日本で治療するのも変わらなくなっておりました。
Like the numbers above, the total of costs to do IVF in Japan is almost as much as the total in MN.
それに、金額面だけ言えば、アメリカの場合は返金保証があるので、妊娠しなかった場合はお金が返ってくるので、リスクは少ないように思えます。
Just thinking about the financial fact, the clinic in MN has a refundable plan and they give us the money if we don't have a baby.
ただ、Andyっちと二人で日本に3か月滞在して治療する事、私達にとっては治療以上のものもある訳です。
Though, it means something more than money and the treatment for us to stay in Japan for 3 months together.
Andyっちと結婚して7年になりますが、Andyっちが日本に行ったのは1度、2週間だけ。
We've been married more than 7 years, but Andy's been to my home country just once for 2 weeks.
AndyっちがHit-chanの家族に会ったのも、母と妹２には2回、その他の家族とは1回のみ。
So, in his entire life, Andy's seen my mom and one of my sisters twice and seen the rest of my family members only once.
結婚して7年、Hit-chanはAndyっちのパパママやブラッド君、そしてAndyっちの友人達とたくさんの楽しい時間を過ごさせてもらってきました。
On the other hand, since I moved here, I've had so much of great time with Andy's dad&mom, his brother Brad and his wonderful friends so far.
けれど、AndyっちがHit-chanの家族と過ごした時間はほんの少し。全部合わせても10時間も無いんじゃないかなぁ。
Though, Andy's only spent so little time with my family in Japan and the total hours would be less than 10 hours.
もし、この先、二人で日本に来ることがあっても、長くて2週間が限界だろうし、3か月なんて夢のまた夢の話です。
Even if we can go to Japan together in the future, we could stay there for 2 weeks at the longest. So, staying there fore 3 months is just beyond our dream.
そんな事も関わってきて、改めて、アメリカで治療するのか、日本で治療するのかを考えました。
Those things made me rethink which path we really want to take, IVF in MN or in Japan?
