How's your day going?
さて、この日、母がHit-chanがお世話になっているクリニックを一度見てみたいという事だったので、一緒にクリニックに行った後、そのままAndyっちも合流してブラブラする事にしました。
So on this day, my mom and I went to the clinic together since she said she wanted to see what the clinic is like. After the visit, Andy joined us and we hung out around our apartment together.
うちの母は、五条で生まれ育ったので、一緒に祖父母の家があった場所まで行ってみる事にしました。
My mom was born and grew up in the middle of downtown Kyoto, so she took us where my grandparents (my mom's parents) house used to be.
祖父母の家があった場所はマンションになっています。
There is a condo at the location now.
Hit-chanも小さい頃、祖母の家にお泊りに来ていました。ので、記念撮影。(笑)
I used to sleep over at my grandma's house when I was so little.
高瀬川。橋は変わったけど、この風景、何となく頭に残っています。
Takase river. They built a new bridge, but I slightly remember the view from the bridge which I used to see when I was 3 or 4.
で、一緒にランチをする事に。
After the family history tour, we had a lunch together.
近くにあったタイ料理屋さん。
We stopped by this Thai restaurant.
入ったのが3時だったので、お客さんは私達だけでした。
We went in around 3pm, so nobody else was there.
Andyっちはパッドタイランチセット。
Andy got this Pad Thai.
パッドタイはタイ風焼きそばだよ。
Pad Thai is Thai style fried noodles.
母はグリーンカレーに初挑戦。
Mom got the green curry.
Hit-chanはタイ風焼き飯
I got this Thai style fried rice.
Hit-chan、グリーンカレー食べた事なかったので、母のを一口もらったんですが、ちょっと苦手な味でした。(笑)
I'd never tried green curry ever, so I got a bite from mom's plate. Though, I didn't like the flavor so much. haha
この日もご馳走になりました。ありがと～。
She treated us this time again. Thanks!
ランチの後、母と別れたんですが、Andyっちが寄りたいという酒屋さんがあったので、一緒に行きました。
After the lunch, we said bye to mom and headed back to our apartment, but Andy and I went to check another liquor store together.

Liquor Shop One
すっごい小さなお店なんですが、ヴィンテージウィスキーを取り扱っているので、チェックしに来たんですねぇ。
This shop is super small, but they have some vintage whiskies. So, why not? Andy couldn't help coming to check what they had!
一応、ヴィンテージウィスキーあったんですが、高すぎて手が出ない値段だったので、そのまま退散しました。
Yeah, they certainly had some vintage whiskies, but they were too expensive for us to afford.
で、酒屋さんからアパートに戻る途中、こんなものを見つけて、思わず写真を撮っちゃいました。
On the way back to our apartment, we found something super cool and took a picture of it.
これ、すごくないですか？立派な木が、建物から出てました。まぁ、建物が後からできたんでしょうけど。
Isn't it cool? It's a big tree coming out through the building. I believe the tree was there first.
こうやって、立派な木を切らずに残すように考えた方、凄いなぁと思ったHit-chanでした。
I'm so impressed by the person who came up with saving the big tree like this.
