さて、いよいよ明日日本へ発ちます。
Yeah, it's Tomorrow that we're leaving for Japan.
一昨日、昨日とお休みを取っていたんですが、いやぁ、頑張りましたよ、家の掃除。
The day before yesterday and yesterday, I worked really hard on cleaning the house.
普段から綺麗に掃除されてる方はこんな時も楽なんでしょうが、普段から掃除を怠けているHit-chanのような人は、こうやってそのツケを払う羽目になるんですねぇ。
If you are tidy and clean your house often enough, you wouldn't have to do a big cleaning like this, but I'm such a lazy butt and had to do all the cleanings at once. LOL
とは言え、ダイニングルーム、キッチン、バスルーム、ベッドルームと頑張って片づけたので綺麗になりました。
Though, I finished cleaning the dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and I'm so happy now.
あとはリビングルームを掃除機かけるだけです。
I still need to vacuum the living room, but that should be the only thing left to do.
そうそう、昨日溜まりに溜まったAndyっちのYシャツのアイロンもかけたんですが、その前に、
Oh yeah, I ironed tons of Andy's dress shirts yesterday and before I did it, I said to Andy,
「あとは、Yシャツにもアイロンかけて。。。」
"I still need to iron your shirts and..."
とAndyっちに言ったら、
Then, he said,
「え、なんで、別にしなくても良いやん。」
"Why? You don't have to do it."
と一言。
Andyっち、たまにこういう風に「しなくて良いよ。」って、優しさから？言ってくれるんですが、Hit-chanからしたら、全然意味ない言葉なんですよ。
He sometimes tells me "You don't have to do it." when I'm about to do some chores and I think it's from his kindness, but to be honest, the words mean nothing to me.
この「しなくて良いよ。」という言葉が、「（僕がするから、）しなくて良いよ。」という言葉だったら、喜ぶんですけど、この場合の「しなくて良いよ。」は、ただ単に「（今は別に）しなくて良いよ。後でしても大丈夫やん。」という意味なんです。
On this occasion, if the words mean "You don't have to do it, (because I will do that.)", I'd be so happy to hear them, but Andy just means "You don't have to do it now. You can do it later."
だからね、Hit-chan、いやいやいや、あなたがアイロンかけてくれない限り、Hit-chanが旅行前の今かけるか、旅行から帰った時にかけるかの2択だけなんですけど～！
Oh well, as far as I'd have to iron your shirts anyways, my options are only 2, you know, I'll iron them now OR I'll iron them when I'm back from the trip!!!
で、旅行から帰ってきた時に、大量のYシャツにアイロンかけるの嫌なんですけど～！
And personally, I don't want to have to iron tons of shirts right after I'm back from the trip!!
だから、今かけようとしてるんですけど～！
That's why I'm about to iron them now!!!
ってなる訳です。(爆)

ただただ、「ありがとう。」と言ってくれれば、こちらは満足するんですけどね。
I'd be just happy if he says "Thank you."
ほんと、結婚して7年目ですけど、ここら辺の感覚は未だに食い違っております。(笑)
Oh well, we've been married almost for 7 years, but he doesn't know all about me yet. Haha
まぁまぁ、そんな感じですが、いよいよ荷造りもほぼ終わって、チェックインももう済ませて、準備は万端だと思います。
Anyways, we've almost done with all the packing and checking in the flights as well. I hope we're pretty much ready now.
AndyっちとHit-chanが日本にいる間、ブラッド君が我が家を見ておいてくれます。
While we're gone, Brad's going to watch our house.
郵便物の整理やごみ捨て、その他諸々のメンテナンスをお願いしてあります。
He's going to take care of our mail, trash and other things for us.
本当、日本の家族もそうですが、こうやってミネソタの家族にも支えてもらって今回のプロジェクトは成り立っております。
Without a big support and love from our family both in Japan and here, this big trip couldn't have happened. I really appreciate it.
そんな訳で、全て上手くいくことを祈っていてくださいね！
