Hit-chanは風邪もひかずに元気にしております。
Thankfully, I haven't got a cold or something and am doing pretty well.
さて、こちらミネソタも良い季節になってきまして、ゴルフシーズンが始まりました。
Here in MN, Spring has finally come and another beautiful golf season has started as well.
で、４月に入って我が家のゴルフシーズンも始まりました。
My family golf season has started in April too.
４月の始めに行った今年初めてのプレイ。
Our first play of the year was in the beginning of April.
Hit-chanの格好で分かると思いますが、まだちょっと肌寒かったです。
As you see me in this pic, it was still chilly then.
この日は住んでいる市が運営している、パー３のコースで、９ホールだけ。
We went to Orono public golf course which is a par 3 course and we only played 9 holes.
で、この日初めてクリスマスにもらった新しいゴルフクラブを試したんですが、なんとなんと、Hit-chan、人生で初めてゴルフでAndyっちに勝ったんです！！！
Believe it or not, I actually beat Andy for the very first time in my life!!!! It was actually the first time for me to try my new clubs and they definitely helped!!!
新しいクラブはHit-chanの身長に合わせて短くしてもらったんですが、これが大正解！！！
Andy got my new clubs fitted to my short height and that was totally a smart decision!
今までよりもスムーズなスイングができるようになりました。
They let me swing more naturally now.
で、その２週間後、またゴルフに行きました。
2 weeks after I had the memorable victory, Andy and I went to play again.
今年はAndyっち、ゴルフ熱が高くって、「週に１回はゴルフしたい！」と言っております。
Andy loves golf, but he's been really into it this year and saying "I want to play once a week." So, go for it, baby!
今回はTimberCreekというコースで。簡単すぎず、難しすぎずの、Hit-chanには良いレベルのコースです。
This time, we played at Timber Creek. This course is not too easy or too hard for me, so it's good.
この日は前回に比べて少し暖かくて、とっても気持ちが良かったです。
Compared to the first play, it's warmer and feeling so great.
残念ながらこの日、２回連続でAndyっちに勝つことはできなかったのですが、新しいクラブだと今まで思うようにスイングできずに感じていたストレスがなくて、スコアは悪くても気持ち良くプレイする事ができました。
Unfortunately, I couldn't beat Andy twince in a row, but I didn't have any frustration that I couldn't do a smooth swing which I used to have with my old clubs, so it was a really refreshing time after all.
いやぁ、弘法筆を選ばずと言いますが、弘法じゃない場合はやっぱり筆を選んだ方が良いのだなぁと感じている今日この頃です。
There's an expression "The cunning mason works with any stone." Oh well, I would want to say, "if you're not the cunning mason, you had better choose a desent stone."
スポーツをするのは好きなのに、ほっとくとずっと家の中にいる出不精なHit-chanを連れ出してくれるAndyっちには感謝しています。
I actually love playing sports and I used to quite a bit when I was a child, but I don't know why, I tend to end up staying inside my house all day long on my free days recently. So, I really appreciate Andy for pushing my heavy butt out.
今年もさむ～い冬が来るまでに目一杯ゴルフで体を動かして楽しみたいと思います。
Until the next MN freezing winter comes, I'd love to play golf and work out as much as possible.
