If you live in Tokyo, you've probably noticed something a little strangeキョロキョロ.

Spring has decided to sit this year out, leaving summer to jump ahead a few months and take its place.

I remember having at least a couple of weeks of spring チューリップ in years past, but I don't ever remember a jump this drastic.

Up until the cherry blossoms 桜 began blooming (and even a bit into their bloom), it still basically felt like winter 雪の結晶.

I still wore my heavy winter coat whenever I went outside.

Even when it was warming up a little, some rainstorms 傘 blew into Tokyo and chilled things down again.

But once those storms left, and the cherry blossoms 桜 fell to the ground, it noticeably got much warmer 太陽.

Even hot 炎.

I've noticed many people out with short-sleeve shirts Tシャツ.

It's a little early for that, I'd think, considering that just a two weeks or so ago I was wearing my winter coat びっくり!!

I don't like cold weatherアセアセ, but I'm no fan of hot weather, either ショボーン.

The end of winter 雪だるま means I can dress with fewer layers (always a plus) and take occasional evening strollsスニーカー.

As much as I dislike those blistering hot summer days太陽, the evenings are never that bad, and are actually quite enjoyable ウインク.

There's almost nothing enjoyable about winterタラー.

But I'd like to have spring hang around a while longer.

I knew something was up when I almost immediately went from using my heater to using my air-conditioning びっくり.

That transition is way too fast.

I should have a few weeks of giving it a well deserved rest.

But it looks like that will be skipped, unfortunately.

Oh, well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a nice spring ニヤリ.

We'll see what happens!!
