診断と治療
■臨床症状
●皮膚炭疽：ニキビ様の初期病変の後、無痛性で非化膿性の悪性膿疱が出現する。所属リンパ管炎やリンパ節炎を合併する。
●腸炭疽：腸管感染では吐き気、嘔吐、腹痛、吐血、血便、腹水の貯留など、口咽頭部感染では咽頭炎、嚥下障害、 発熱、頸部のリンパ節炎が起きる。
●肺炭疽：軽度な発熱、疲労感、倦怠感が数日続き、頭痛、筋肉痛、悪寒、発熱、そして胸部の軽度の疼痛が起きる。 重症では、突然の呼吸困難、チアノーゼ、昏睡を伴う失見当識が起こる。
●炭疽菌性髄膜炎：脳脊髄液中に菌体が現れ、意識消失が起こり死に至る。
