【１】と【２】の違いについて
【１】は、主語にとって普通ではなかった、難しかったというニュアンスが込められている。
it was not normal for me （右側運転は自分にとって普通じゃなかった）とか、 It shows the level of difficulty. （右側運転は難しかった）という意味合いが強い。
【２】はもっとI did it regularly in the past but no longer do in （以前は毎日レギュラーで運転していた）という意味合いがある。
I used to work for many hours in Japan (日本では毎日毎日長時間働いていた）
I got used to driving on the right.
I used to drive a car but I sold it a few months ago.
What will they have to get used to in my country? They'll have to get used to bowing a lot in Japan. (バウイング＝おじぎ）
