JEFFREYS BAY, Eastern Cape, South Africa (Friday, July 1, 2022) - The Corona Open J-Bay, Stop No. 9 on the World Surf League (WSL) 2022 Championship Tour (CT), will finally return to Supertubes, Jeffreys Bay after a two-year postponement due to the global pandemic. The world’s best surfers will compete at the famed right-hand pointbreak during the waiting period from July 12 - 21, 2022.
Jeffreys Bay has been a fixture on the Championship Tour for over 40 years. The break is known as one of the best in the world and its return has been anticipated by all the competitors on the CT, as well as the fans. The break has been host to spectacular performances, including Perfect 10-point rides, which everyone hopes to witness at this upcoming event. The Eastern Cape is not only known for its world-class waves but also for its incredibly rich diversity of fauna and landscapes, food and dining, and wildlife experiences. |
