徒然こと１　Letter from my daughter, at Olympic volunteer ended

Dear Dad.　Good evening.

Today was the last day of my volunteer activities.

I also volunteered for the Paralympics.

I saw off the British team and the German team at the international terminal of Haneda Airport today!

All the athletes smiled and said thank you to the volunteers, and we volunteers smiled and said thank you for coming to Japan and see you again.

Today marks the end of my three years of preparation and activities as an Olympic and paralympic volunteer.

Thank you very much for your words of support.

徒然こと２　Letter to Daughter, at Conglaturation of happy ending

Dear Coco.

How wonderful experience you have had and prestigious contribution you have achieved under very crucial stage for both of Olympics and Paralympic Games.The world are suffering the crucial difficulty at midst of fifth rush wave of Corona infects of pandemic diseses.  Even though of this, each  athletes have shown their each best  and fulfillment,  coming from own persistent preparations over their years past.

We remember that this country, Japan, as the host, has been having  extraordinal torments in order to  have a realization to go-on the games.

 You, volunteers as important part of project function, have  finally done a good jobs over  a total views of program. 

The athletes and staffs from abroad and of here, I am convinced what and how mach they appreciate you , volunteers for every corners and at anytime attendances  with and along with them for getting a rid of occasion unsafe.  Well done of you!

It is quite proudful of you, brilliant and clever daughter, Coco.I am looking forward to hear your talking on your valuable achievement and also  end of bitter torment.

Happy a good ending of the great project!  Viva the young and the hopeful world!Now, take it easy for your daily life.

ココさん、素晴らしい活動をされていたのですね！
おもてなしの現場で活躍されていたボランティアの皆さんがいたからこそ、オリンピックやパラリンピックがここまでできたのだと思います。

お嬢さんですね！7月からオリンピック、パラリンピック選手をボランティアで支えていらしたとは。競技のサポートと共に選手同士の交流にもたくさんの貢献をなさったことと思います。来年あたり記録映画ができているといいですね。1964年の東京オリンピックのドキュメンタリー映画【市川崑監督）が思い出されます。試写を観て河野一郎が激怒して手直しを要求したとか。熟慮しないところが河野家の家風かもしれませんね。

その河野さんの激怒をおもいだしていました。先回1964は、娘の母親である家内が
まだ独身で、本部にいたようです。私は社会に出た年で、新米でまだ気楽な身分でした。飛び立つ鳩の群れを本郷の会議室から目に留めました。

Hello Leona, my daughter Coco have sent a report of her volunteering at the last two of Games. We are sorry for games of no spectators on sites. Spent 3 to 4times of original budget, reported by media. Anyway we,here are feeling of a fulfillment and free now for this matters with successful ending, separetely from Corona diseases. Mr.Suga did a good job,and he resigns Prime minister. He is a man of charactor like a silent farmer like, not little talk. Sorry we lost his leadership.

From Bill to Yasumasa

Your daughter and her fellow countrymen did a marvelous job showcasing your country and the Olympics. It is sad that the Covid-19 prevented live spectators from seeing your country and allowing participation and fellowship between Japan and the world. The economic impact that should have occurred during these games, drained because of this world pandemic. I will say, the beauty and simplicity that your country presented these games was second to none. With the health restrictions and roadblocks thrown your way, your country did a marvelous job of putting on these OLYMPICS and for that I SALUTE. Thank your daughter, for me, for her representation of your beautiful country and making the Olympic experience as wonderful as possible for the rest of the world. As always enjoy visiting with you. Well I’m off to do my daily walk. I walk 3-4 miles every day in our local park.
We were to vacation last week on a cruise that has been rescheduled twice. My wife tested positive for virus, and although we believe it’s a false negative, regulations prevent us from travel. We both are fully vaccinated but another reschedule. Oh well, be safe my friend and as always nice to visit with you. Until later, Be safe..
