トーハクのアットゥシ文様をチヂリにアレンジしたのですが、この段階ではちょっと雑然としています。
文様というよりテキスタイルに近い。
I arranged a design of an attus in the TOHAKU (the Tokyo National Museum) as cijiri.
But in this stage, it is confused slightly yet.
It's near a textile rather than a pattern.
一部の線を強調させると少しスッキリ。
It got orderly slightly when I emphasized some lines.
土台布に何人もの人が針を入れているのがわかります。
そこに私も仲間入り。
I see some people stitches on the base cloth.
I participate in it.
どっちを表にしようか、刺繍を始めるまでまで悩みました。
I was troubled until the embroidery was started which should I make the surface?
裏の風情も良いのです。
表とは雰囲気が変わります。
The reverse side has also good taste.
It's different in an atmosphere from the surface.
額装にするとこのようになります。
襤褸の場合、切れ端も大事かと思ってそのまま入れることにしました。
The framed decoration looks like this.
Since the edge of the cloth is important in the case of boro, I decided to just put it.
額は米澤猛夫さん製作の流木の額です。
The frame of driftwood was made by Mr.Takeo Yonezawa.
ただ額装にすると襤褸の裏の風情が見えなくなります。
But we cannot see the taste in reverse side of boro with a frame.
