Monday, March 27, 30 A.D.: When Jesus Christ started on His way, a young man came up to Him and fell down at His feet and asked.

“Teacher, what good thing must I do to get Eternal Life?”

He said. (Mark 10:17-31).

“Why do you ask Me about what is good? No one is good but One. That is, the good One is the God. If you would enter life, obey the commandments. Do not murders, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, and do not defraud. Honor your father and mother, and love your neighbors as yourself.”

The young man said.

“All these I have kept since I was very young.”

He answered.

“One thing you still lack. If you would be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. After that, you come and follow Me.”

When the young man heard this, he went away sadly, because he had the great possessions.

He looked around and said to His apostles.

“How hard is it for the rich to enter the kingdom of God?”

As the apostles were very amazed at His Words, He said to them.

“Children, how difficult they are for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven? A camel’s passing through the hole of the needle is easier than the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.”

They were exceedingly astonished, and they said to each other.

“Then, who can be saved?”

He looked at them and said.

“It is impossible by man. But the God is able to do all things.”

Peter said.

“We have left everything to follow You!”

He said.

“I tell you the truth. In the future, when the Son of man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on the twelve thrones, for judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left home or father or mother or brothers or sisters or children or friends or left the lands for My name’s sake, he shall receive hundredfold, and he inherits the Eternal Life. But many who are first will be last, and the many who are last will be first.”
