サメだ！！！大興奮。
初めて訪れたわ〜、黒島研究所。
船の発着所から自転車でひたすら真っすぐ進んで約１０分、突き当りを右に曲がるようにと立て看板があります。ほぼ平坦な道だけど、やっぱり電動自転車を借りるとスイスイと楽に到着できました。おすすめです。
初めての黒島研究所はなんだかとっても男っぽい空間でした。
入場料は一人５００円。入り口の看板はなんかデザインがきいててオシャレ。誰が描いたのかしら？
魚に関する資料や、黒島・八重山暮らしについての歴史を知ることができる古い資料や道具の展示がありました。そして中庭ではニワトリと孔雀が飼われているという不思議。
ウミガメの展示があるよーとは聞いていたのですが、ウミガメだけじゃなくて
海に住むいろいろなオモシロ生物が飼育されていました。特にサメにはみんな大興奮。
餌やりができるということで、更に大盛りあがりでした。
水槽に大中小と３匹のサメが泳いでいました。
最初は淡白なリアクションだったのに、サメたちは餌が貰えると認識してからはバッシャンバッシャンと飛沫をあげて、
きびなご？小魚をめがけて大きな口を開けて突進してくるので、きゃーきゃーわーわーみんな大騒ぎ。他に展示してあるユニークな魚たちには目もくれず、餌やりに夢中になっていました。
みんなが騒いでいる間に私は生き物展示室をゆっくり鑑賞。
ブサ可愛い魚に目が釘付けになりました。（惜しいことに写真がピンボケ！！）
かわいいでしょ〜〜〜〜〜ゴマモンガラちゃん。
縄張り意識がとっても高いお魚さんだそう。すっごい歯！
毒ウツボもいました。マッチョだわ。
ええとこれは、たぶん、すっごくでっかいヤドカリです。
素敵なボディが隠れてますが、とっても美しい模様を持ってるゴシキエビちゃん。
額に入れられて飾られているのを見たことがあります。
てな感じで、いろんな珍しい海の生き物たちが展示されているので、是非訪れてみてください。石垣島には水族館がないし。。。水槽をもって生き物を展示しているところって、多分八重山地域ではここくらいじゃないのかな？
都会のきれいな水族館とは一味違って、原始的？な水族館をエンジョイできるのでは？と思います。
ゆっくり時間が流れる黒島で一日のんびり過ごすのもいいですね、なんて贅沢！
Sharks! The children were thrilled.
We visited the Kuroshima Research Institute for the first time.
From Ishigaki Island, it takes about 30 minutes by high-speed boat to reach Kuroshima. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, you just need to go straight ahead on a bicycle for about 10 minutes and then turn right at the end of the road as indicated by a signpost. The road is mostly flat, but renting an electric bicycle made it a breeze to arrive. Highly recommended.
The Kuroshima Research Institute had a very masculine atmosphere, quite different from anything we've experienced before.
The entrance fee was 500 yen per person. The design of the entrance sign was stylish and intriguing. I wonder who created it?
At the entrance of the Kuroshima Research Institute, there were exhibits featuring fish-related information and historical materials and tools about life on Kuroshima and the Yaeyama Islands. In the courtyard, there were the curious presence of chickens and peacocks.
We had heard about the turtle exhibit, but it wasn't just turtles. They had various interesting marine creatures on display. We were particularly excited about the sharks.
They were thrilled to have the opportunity to feed the sharks. As soon as the sharks recognized that they would be getting food, they started splashing and rushing towards the small fish, opening their big mouths. We were shouting and screaming with excitement. We completely forgot about the other unique fish exhibits and were solely focused on the feeding experience.
While the others were reading manga in the information room, I leisurely enjoyed the exhibition in the aquatic display room.
I was captivated by the adorable and slightly ugly fish (unfortunately, the photos turned out blurry!).
Isn't this Titan triggerfish adorable? It's said to have a strong sense of territory and has impressive teeth!
There was also a poisonous moray eel. What a tough guy!
Um, I think this is a really huge hermit crab.
And this is the beautiful and intricately patterned harlequin shrimp. I've seen them displayed in frames before.
In this way, there are various rare marine creatures on display, so I highly recommend visiting. Since Ishigaki Island doesn't have an aquarium... I believe this might be the only place in the Yaeyama region where live marine creatures are exhibited in tanks.
It's a bit different from the clean aquariums in the city, offering a more primitive-like experience. Enjoy a leisurely day on Kuroshima, where time flows slowly. How luxurious it is!
