さて、前回の記事でHit-chanの愛車、銀ちゃんの後継者である灰ちゃんの紹介をしました。
So, I introduced my new car, Hai-chan, to you guys on the last article.
前の愛車銀ちゃんを手放すと決めて、灰ちゃんの購入を決めるまでの間、1週間も無いくらいという速さで全てが決まったのですが、購入を決める為に試乗した時も購入した後に家に運転して帰ってくる時もAndyっちに運転してもらいました。
It was only less than a week for us to decide to let my previous car, Gin-chan, go and purchase Hai-chan, which was super quick, and I asked Andy to do the test drive and also drive Hai-chan back home from the dealership on the day that we purchased her.
で、やはり灰ちゃんはHit-chanの愛車なので、早い内に運転に慣れた方が良いなぁと自分で思ったのと、Andyっちからの賛同もあったので、購入から4日後のこの日、初めて灰ちゃんを運転してみました。
Hai-chan is supposed to be my car, and the sooner the better, I should get used to driving her. So, 4 days after Hai-chan came to our house, I drove her for the first time.
やはり、慣れた道を走って感覚を掴んでいきたいと思ったので、初めてのこの日は行き慣れている近くの公園に行きました。
I wanted to practice driving her on familiar roads, so I chose to drive to a park near our house where I'd been to so many times.
灰ちゃんは銀ちゃんより少しだけ大きいので、運転席の感じもちょっと違って、初めてだとやっぱり慣れない感覚でした。（めっちゃ緊張してるよ。笑）
Hai-chan is a little bit bigger than Gin-chan, and the driver's seat felt slightly different and not comfortable enough to me on the first drive yet. (Yeah, I was freaking nervous. Haha)
灰ちゃんを初めて運転するからもあるんですが、この自粛生活で車自体を何カ月も運転していなかったので、まずは車の運転の感覚を取り戻す事を重視してこの日は運転しました。
Before I talked about how I felt about driving Hai-chan for the first time, I want you to know that it was the first time for me driving a car itself in a long long time due to the quarantined life. So, I tried to focus on getting a driving feeling back more than learning new things about Hai-chan that day.
親切にもAndyっちが一緒に付き合ってくれたので、写真も撮ってくれました。こちらは、助手席からの景色。
Andy kindly came along with me and took some pics. This was the view from the passenger seat.
無事公園に到着！左右の幅の感覚がまだ掴み切れなかったので、ちょっと左に寄っちゃいましたけどね。まぁ枠内だから良し。
We safely go to the park. I didn't get the feeling of the car size well yet, so parked Hai-chan on the leftish line. Still, it's fit between the lines and good enough!
で、折角公園に来たのでちょっと遊んでから帰る事に。
We're here at the park anyways, so why didn't we play a little bit before we headed back home?
で、無事にお家に帰りました。
Then, we're back home safely.
初めて灰ちゃんを運転して思ったのが、Andyっちの車を運転した時よりも運転しやすかったという事です。
To be honest with you, I felt much more comfortable to drive Hai-chan than when I first drove Andy's car.
この車ね。

Andyっちのはセダンなので、銀ちゃん（SUV)をずーっと運転していたHit-chanにとって、セダンの車は車高が低く感じて運転席からの視界も違うので慣れない感覚が強かったんですが、その点灰ちゃんはほぼほぼ銀ちゃんとサイズが一緒なので、慣れ親しんでいた視界での運転なので違和感が無かったです。
Andy's car is a sedan type and the view from the driver's seat was so low and felt very different from what I was used to through driving Gin-chan (SUV) for a long time. On the other hand, my new car, Hai-chan, is a SUV and the view from the driver's seat was pretty same as Gin-chan's driver's seat, so I felt more comfortable to drive her.
無事初めての運転を終えた後も、時折運転するようにしているんですが、運転すればするほど慣れてきている感じはします。
Since I completed the first dive with my new car safely, I've tried to drive her as often as possible, and the more I drive her, the more I'm comfortable to drive her.
という訳で、新しい我が愛車、灰ちゃんを初めて運転した時の様子でございました！
