English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.
Today, I'd like to write about English Plus' trademark.
I went to "Tokkyo-cho (patent office)" for the first time in my life time in July 2011.
The reason why I went there was to register our trademark of "English Plus."
At that time, I didn't know anything about trademarks, so I had to take some steps to register our trademark.
It was a little bit tough but it was good to learn a new thing.
Last Monday, I went to patent office for the first time in about a decade in order to renew our trademark.
Trademarks are not permanently registered, and in our case, we registered it for 10 years.
This February will see our expiry date, so I went there to submit some documents.
I hope it will be extended without a problem.
When I receive a new letter about a certificate of trademark registration from the Japan patent office, I will let you know in this blog.
